2 months with Audrey

This second month with Audrey has flown by equally as fast as the first!  We are amazed at how much she has changed - both physically and emotionally.  She has gained 1 1/2 pounds since we've been home, her hair has grown, her feet have grown, and she is starting to outgrow some of the first clothes she wore in December.  She is still happiest when she is with Mom, but she is also much more comfortable being down and playing with her toys than she was.  And....maybe best of all....she has slept through the night for the last 3 nights in a row.  I don't want to jinx that, but it has been great!

Audrey's days are pretty routine at this point.  She still has a bottle in the morning (whole milk), and has breakfast a while later.  We are generally home in the morning, doing fun things like laundry (she loads the dryer beautifully!), or we sometimes head out to the indoor playground, grocery store, or library, and head home for lunch by 11:30 or so.  She naps in her crib from about 12:30 or 1:00 to about 1:45 or 2:00.  Her naps are not terribly long, but she is up and happy, and ready to go get Erica and Ian from school by 3:00.  She loves when they get in the car, and is very excited to see them!  She snacks with them after school, plays until dinner, and then entertains us all at dinner.  She has another bottle at bedtime, and is generally asleep by 7:30.  At night, sometimes she goes down right away, and sometimes she flops around for awhile, but she is sleeping well in her pack'n'play at night.  We know she will move to her crib at night sometime, but she still wakes up looking for us, so we will keep things status quo for now.

During the day, Audrey is a happy, happy girl.  Her facial expressions are hilarious, and she turns into quite the comedienne at meal time, when her full audience is assembled.  She is talking all the time, and her English vocabulary is growing each day.  Her clearest words are up, help, meow, and hi.  She can say many other things, and will imitate most any word we say.  We also heard her first two-word sentence today: "Hi, kitty."  It was so cute. :)  She is also eating well.  Broccoli is the veggie of choice, and she will eat almost any fruit: banana, apple, grapes, strawberries, peaches, pears, cantaloupe, and honeydew.  Oh, and grapefruit! :)  She also loves yogurt, cheese, crackers, and any cookie that might come her way.

We can't imagine our family without Audrey.  She is a joy, and watching Erica and Ian with her is the best.  They are both so kind, gentle, caring, and loving with her.  We are having so much fun together!
